We are going places, doubling in size in the last two year, with significant growth throughout the UK, now operating from four sites, with plans for another two within the next 12 months.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for driving and administering the QSHE agenda and compliance across the business to promote & maintain a positive safety culture and safe working environment.

You will be part of the National Operational Support team, based at our Headquarters in Blacker Hill, Barnsley, but will cover all depots and facilities. As the business grows this gives the right candidate great development opportunities. As with all team members they will be expected to help drive a positive and developing business mentality, to fuel excellence and business returns.

The role incorporates all administration requirements:
●  Assist in the management of our HSE systems through auditing and sustaining compliance.
●  Structure, develop and maintain comprehensive, effective and up to date standards, procedures, practices and controls – COSHH assessments; Risk assessments; Manual Handling assessments; Accident reports; RIDDOR.
●  Ensure the business operations are being undertaken in line with legislation and government guidelines
●  Translating legislation into workable solutions for the business
●  Advising colleagues and external stakeholders on Health & Safety related issues
●  The undertaking of ISO audits on a monthly basis
●  Undertaking inductions and toolbox talks

About you

You will need to have a desire to deliver a high-quality service:
●  Knowledge / Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001 AND 45001 Standards
●  Knowledge of Safety and Environmental legislation compliance applied to working situations.
●  Ideally will have a NEBOSH qualification or working towards.
●  Experience of continuous improvement techniques.
●  Discipline to work to procedures and high quality, be well organised, methodical, and have great focus.
●  You should have a strong but understanding personality, with the ability to get the most out of a team using the right approach to drive improvements.
●  You will have the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
