Senior Workshop Engineer

Warwick Ward (machinery) Ltd is a family-owned company, established for over 50 years and widely recognised as one the UK’s leading suppliers of earthmoving and recycling equipment to the construction, quarrying, aggregate, material handling and recycling industries. We are a UK dealer for CASE Construction Equipment, Terex Ecotec, Ecohog and Keestrack.

Due to significant expansion through new geographical areas and new product ranges, we are currently looking for Senior Workshop Engineers to work from our head office in Barnsley to carry out repair, service, maintenance and PDI’s on new and used construction and waste recycling equipment.

The person:

The successful candidate will come from a heavy plant background, with at least 5 years’ experience, having strong hands-on knowledge in the Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical elements of Heavy Plant Machinery.

• You will need extensive knowledge on a variety of heavy plant including Wheeled Loaders, Excavators, Track Loaders, Shredders, Screens, and Waste Handlers.
• Case / Terex / Eco hog / Keestrack brand experience would be an advantage.
• You need to be competent with reading/understanding hydraulic and electrical schematics, having good problem solving and diagnostic skills/experience.
• You will need experience in engine aftertreatment systems, SCR and DPF.
• You will have experience of working within a controlled process environment and have exposure to lean techniques.
• You need good IT, literacy, and communication skills.
• You must be flexible with working hours when required (possible late nights or weekend work).

Package:

• Base salary up to £34,000 per annum.
• 0800 – 1630 Monday – Friday (40 hours per week).
• Opportunities for overtime as and when required paid at 1.5 times basic rate. Due to demand for the last 12-weeks we have been working 50 hours per week.
